What does UHS-I mean?

UHS-I stands for Ultra High Speed Phase I, a performance interface used by many modern microSD™ cards to transfer data between the card and compatible devices. Rather than being a speed rating itself, UHS-I defines the communication technology that allows supported devices to read and write data at significantly higher speeds than older interfaces. Many action cameras, drones, dash cameras and other recording devices are designed to take advantage of UHS-I performance when paired with a compatible microSD™ card.
